Description:
Mohawk Step Reamers are high precision tools made in multidiameter construction and used to 'size pre-drilled or cored holes. They are custom built to suit specific applications. They are designed to ream two holes or ream-chamfer a hole in one production pass.

Applications:
Custom-built step reamers are very practical for applications such as ream-chamfer, ream-ream, ream- counterbore or pilot-ream. Optional features can be incorporated, for example: Longer lengths, intermediate diameters, special shank features, special end cut styles, special materials or coatings. A significant option is that the tools can be supplied with fast or slow spiral or with straight flutes to suit the application and material to be reamed.

Limitations:
Reamer limitations are controlled by several factors and all have to be considered to obtain the optimum results; hole tolerance, surface finish, hole depth, material to be cut, pre-ream hole conditions.
